We are excited to have Blair Anderson, an award winning jewelry artist join us this year at Cabin Fever. A Silversmith for 25 years, Blair has shown internationally in solo shows, group shows and juried shows. A grant recipient of The Works International Visual Arts Society, Canada (1991), her skill has been recognized with government commissions and design awards internationally, including a NICHE award (1996) for her hand made sterling silver eyewear. In her signature style, Anderson depicts personal stories, political, environmental, and women’s issues through the craft of silversmithing. Wearable yet provocative, both sculpture and jewelry, she often incorporates unconventional components such as concrete, polymer clay, and cast insects in her pieces. Blair now shares her years of experience and love of the craft as Director of SilverWorks, silversmith studio, classroom and gallery at historic Glen Echo Park, Maryland.
