Louise Fischer Cozzi

Trained at Pratt as a graphic designer, Louise went on to pursue fiberarts and polymer clay.  She has been working in polymer since 1991 and her love for typography and fiberarts inspire her current work. Her award winning pieces and articles have appeared in Belle Armoire, Bead and Button, and Lapidary Journal as well as numerous books. She shows and sells her work at galleries across the country. and as a local, national and international teaching artist to all ages and levels, she appreciates the symbiotic relationship between creating and teaching. In much of her current work, Translucent Colors, she forms simple elegant shapes of translucent clay and infuses them with layers of texture and color that suggest infinite depth.

This will be Louise’s first time teaching at CFCF, but 2nd time as an invited instructor by Maryland’s CMDPCG.

Cozzi – Bevy of Bangles

Louise has been inspiring polymer clay artists for years.  In this workshop, she will teach you to create a “bevy of bangles” using translucent clay, ink, and polymer clay laminates you will develop in class.  Students will also learn how to create seamless joins on channel bracelet forms and techniques for ensuring it lasts a lifetime.  Walk away with several bracelets on each arm and some spares for friends! Louise will be certain to entertain and educate.
