Registration Help and Swap Info …

7 10 2008

Whew!  These days are busy with keeping up on the election status, building business, creating for shows, and teaching…how about you?  Care to share?  This past weekend, I took my first major venture out after returning from Wisconsin and my 2nd hospital visit.  A participant from CFCF 2008 and volunteer for this year’s event, Ann Swift, came up from Chincoteague, VA to discuss planning and then we headed over to the Northern Virginia Bead Show in Fairfax, VA.  After a quick trip around the venue and a few purchases, we headed back to MD and I to my work.  One thing Ann brought up was the difficulty selecting workshops without a “visual” layout of the offerings.  She sent along a table she put togther and with a bit of tweeking, here is the link (class-schedule1) to help you as well.  Thanks, Ann!

Now to the swap … The swap is totally optional and a lot of fun!  It is meant to be fun, offering a challenge to express yourself and share a piece of your art with other Fest attendees.  The Fest theme is Mardi Gras Mania so some suggestions for the swap are masks, beads (yellow, purple, and green), hearts, etc. Here are a few examples made by various artists including myself, Lindly HaunaniKim Cavender, and others that were made for another auction (I am the proud owner of of the mirror!).  Hopefully they will provide you some inspiration!
